Disturbing Video Reveals Moment Police Get Knifed in Ambush

The Two Sergeants Moments Before the Assailant Got Stunned

One senior officer that leaped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knife attacker has been awarded the King's Commendation for Bravery.

Sergeant Tim Ansell fought with 27-year-old Jacob Brown following he placed a blade to the neck of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the law enforcement personnel and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver after a vehicle incident in that location in summer 2023.

Brown attacked with blade the two Sergeant Ansell and Sgt Foster before PC Wolstencroft stopped him with a electric weapon.

"Officer knifed," PC Wolstencroft stated over his radio.

Bodyworn and dashboard camera video made public by the force showed Brown, who was dressed in dark clothing with a head covered, rush to Sergeant Foster from behind with a blade extended.

He ran into the officer who tripped and fell to the ground, before Sgt Ansell jumped in and attempted to subdue him to the ground although being multiple times hit with the blade.

PC Wolstencroft Stopped the Aggressor, Jacob Brown, with a Stun Gun

Police Constable Wolstencroft pulled his stun gun and sought a clear shot, bringing the struggle to an finish.

Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "Can I get assistance on my throat now, I've been stabbed in the throat."

Sgt Ansell suffered two open wounds to his neck and additional wounds to his limbs and torso, while Sergeant Foster experienced knife wounds.

Authorities said Sgt Foster utilized his palms to control his partner's bleeding before paramedics reached the scene.

The new recognition arrives after the trio of policemen won internal Valor Recognitions in October 2023 and the police federation award from the area officer association in spring 2024.

They further earned a Area Bravery Award in mid-2024.

"The responses of each policeman eventually protected one another and meant no members of the public experienced any injuries."

Brown received a sentence to an indefinite hospital order in early 2024, as stated by officials.
